About Me
I grew up in Harrison and graduated from Harrison High School. I earned my B.A. from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri, and my M.A. from Clemson University. I have worked in K-12 education for over 20 years, first as a teacher in Harrison and Omaha and then at the Arkansas Department of Education. I joined ADE as a curriculum and assessment specialist working with teachers on development of state curriculum frameworks and supervising test item development for the state's Benchmark and End of Course assessments. I also served as state program manager for K-12 Literacy professional development, leading the network of regional literacy specialists and collaborating with math and science specialists. Most recently, I developed the Arkansas on iTunes U program, building a library of media resources and online courses for teachers and students. I have worked at HMS since 2014.
